About 7th Gear Designs
"It all started with the purchase of my 1976 KZ900 in '93-'94, and what was supposed to be a quick paint job morphed into a restoration of the vintage machine. I soon realized that only the most basic parts of the bike were original, so it sat. In 2005 the plan was cast to build a one of a kind KZ and I've been at it ever since. I designed a number of parts for this project that were not available anywhere else, so I started designing and producing some of these parts for others. The purchase of a vintage KZ400 led to the creation of the first-soon-to-be 7th Gear Designs sprocket, it was as plain as it could get, but you have to start some where right? A new electronic ignition kit for the little KZ Twins was soon to follow, again it was one of those parts that just didn't currently exist, used stuff was available but it's used parts, destined to fail.

If you're looking for that special part for that project don't hesitate to contact us. We'd love to hear from you and help find the right part for your bike and if we can't find it, we'll make it!"
